With dappled red autumnal skin, Royal Gala was bred in New Zealand in the 1930's by JH Kidd, and becoming over time New Zealand's most exported apple.

Royal Gala is bright and juicy on the initial palate with fragrant, peachy undertones. This is an elegant apple with very delicate notes - it is designed to please. Flavours are balanced, nothing competes for attention here - as the name suggests, Royal Gala is a rather refined variety.
